What a find!

This morning I was wandering round the graveyard at St Anne's Church, Brown Edge, and saw a headstone which gave the residence of the person named as 'Lion's Paw Farm'. Just the sort of thing that intrigues me especially as it wasn't marked in my map of the area.

Shortly after, I got into conversation with some locals and asked if they knew where Lion's Paw Farm was. They gave me directions and then someone mentioned that there was a cave nearby which used to be a larder. Off I went and found it quite easily although if I hadn't been told about it I would never have seen it as it's off the lane and difficult to see. Squelched through some mud to get photos and all because I happened to see a headstone!

Awaiting new infrared lens from ebay ,should be here soon yipeeee! . jst dont fancy having to frame up ,put it on and use a remote , AND a use my tripod though . But , neva know till ya try , might be worth it to get some spooky shots of places. Also would love a new camera now, think ten yrs of having same one , (olympus digital slr e20p ) is a bit toooooo long . Would love a cannon 10 megapixel slr, mines only 5 mp, but still , they say it ain't the camera , its the photographer that counts.

Functions

Available modes are aperture priority auto or manul (no auto modes here!)

Auto- select the aperture you want via the ring on the front of the lens and the camera adjusts the shutter speed and displays it in the viewfinder

Manual- select the aperture and shutter speed (shutter speed is selectable by the ring around the throat of the lens) and match the exposure using the needle in the viewfinder

For the first time in 5 years, my poor little battered, bruised and dented Pug, let me down today and failed to start... in its defence, it hadn't been used since last Sunday and has looked like this all week-

(this was taken around lunch time Friday!)

you can see signs of a half-hearted attempt to clear it of snow around Tuesday.... but I gave up :lol:

nevermind, a quick burst from the jumpstarter and away we went! ;)
