    Default Burslem Cemetery

The chapel is currently being demolished. I took these photos last month.

But the cemetery has greater sights than the chapel!

Stunning and such a criminal act to destroys this place! But I thought there was regulations about building on consecrated ground, or are they just demolishing it for the sake of it??

Apparently, it's rarely used and part of the ceiling has collapsed so they're just demolishing it. Can't imagine they'll rebuild a chapel, maybe a garden of remembrance?

With the fabulous memorials in the cemetery plus Arnold Bennett the author being buried there, I don't understand why it isn't marketed as a Stoke-on-Trent tourist attraction when The Potteries have so little in the way of attractions.

You're right - there's no money in Stoke-on-Trent. What there was upped and left when the coal mines and potteries closed down.
