Apparently, it's rarely used and part of the ceiling has collapsed so they're just demolishing it. Can't imagine they'll rebuild a chapel, maybe a garden of remembrance?
With the fabulous memorials in the cemetery plus Arnold Bennett the author being buried there, I don't understand why it isn't marketed as a Stoke-on-Trent tourist attraction when The Potteries have so little in the way of attractions.

You're right - there's no money in Stoke-on-Trent. What there was upped and left when the coal mines and potteries closed down.
I wonder if anyone here can help me... I went to visit my brother in laws grave on tuesday ... and I asked my nephew where the church was.. he said they had knocked it down... I was disgusted to think they could knock something so beuatiful old down... Now my question is in 1968 my niece died of a cot death..she was 4 months old.. she was buried right by the side of the church.. does anyone know what would of happened to her remains? and is there is anywhere I can find out please
