Default St John's Church, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

This Stoke on Trent city centre church which has been left to become almost derelict has been sold and is supposed to be converted to a restaurant.http://www.thepotteries.org/did_you/st_john.htm

Moving the windows? Opening it up so passers-by can see in? Sounds as though they're going to knock down the wall facing the street and have outside tables or something similar. And if you start moving windows around, wouldn't it be simpler to knock it all down, start from scratch and include the bits the new architect likes?

Rather than have it architecturally messed about with, I think I'd prefer it to disappear.

This is, presumably, the wall where they'll move the windows away from and open it up.

My 3 photos are no more than a couple of months old - not all taken at the same time. The last one was taken 2 weeks ago.
