I then received an email off the spammer

It sounds like you are very angry. I was surprised to receive such a rude email from you. Yes, I want to promote our site, but my intention was not to spam.

If I posted your email to my blog with a full explanation of what happened do you think people would think well of you?

I am informing you that you are probably breaking UK law by revealing my personal information (e-mail address, date of birth and IP address). This email was provided to you in good faith. Your site appears to have no privacy policy (probably this is a legal requirement), but I'm sure you are not allowed to reveal this private information.

Please remove this private information within 72 hours and apologise to me both via email and on your post in the forum or I will seek legal advice about this.

Secondly, it seems that you decided to ban me mainly because my location was China. Its your choice who you ban, but I think this is pretty unfair and discriminatory.
