It's been suggested that I post these here (they were in my blog) even though they're not in the Midlands. Holywell is near the Deeside coast, to the north-west of Chester and I went there on September 15th this year. On walking down to the nearby ruined abbey near the town I started to see, through the roadside trees, old structures. At the first opportunity I turned off the road and discovered the Greenfield Valley Heritage Park.

This is Meadow Mill Pool where the Holywell stream is dammed to create a millpool for a copper mill - the mill remains are just behind the photographer.
The next millpool is the Lower Flour Mill Pool....
...although the mill remains are those of a 6-storey cotton mill.
Restored warehouse.
Here's a mix of short videos I took...

After visiting the abbey ruins I went back to Holywell via the ruins of Greenfield Mill which was for working brass. The mill closed down in the 1890s.
The mill's clock tower....
