    Default Potters Manor House, Crowborough

Hardly any history on this place. So will gather what I can (Once again not midlands)

    History

Potters Manor House was built in 1904 by the classical architect Hugh Jokin. It nestles well hidden near the village of Nevertell just off the A40999 in Hampnex. The last inhabitants were a family of artisans and potters and for some reason, that we will probably never know, left the house with all its contents including many paintings and full wardrobes of clothes.

Lovely pics mate , glad you got to see this as now its been trashed and i mean really trashed , all the clothes are everywhere the paintings and that head have now gone , and all the stairs have been ripped down . Such a shame . The owner is still alive as well and last i herd was in a retirement home . The reason she left was due to a boiler explosion in the basement and thats why the floor was all burnt .

what a shame, the place goes like that, unless someone buys it soon, we all know what will happen to it. and to think the person who owned it as well is still alive, again shame....

Yeah its sure a shame . There is already planning permission to flatten it and build a new 6 bedroom house there . The place must have been amazing when it was younger . I got to see this place with the first few people who went and was very lucky to see it in its untouched form .The reason all the stuff has been stolen is because it was owned by a quite famous potter and his work is worth a fair price . Me and my urbex friends kept the info about the place really secret and one of my mates even gave it a made up name "Potters Manor" to conceal its identity . Then when one person who i will not name was trying to look great for finding out info on the place and posted the info online , within weeks the place was really trashed and stripped of all its goodies . It is such a shame that there is always someone who will steal from these places and smash them up . I never name locations online and only tell people i think i can trust .
