Hi all, i thought i would make my 1st report on this forum one of my favourite explores- visited here a few months back.

Im sure most people know the history. It opened in the 1930's and closed in 1994. Sold to developers in 2006 and i think its awaiting housing to be built.

    Anyway pics....

The self destruct button is brilliant!

Were you tempted to press it?

Nice pics. Considering it has been closed for 16 years it is still in a good condition!

This site is huge, went round it a few weeks ago on a seperate matter, but did not have my camera. It now has the two bed houses converted and virtually sold off I think, they are now doing the bigger houses, comandants house etc.

i think plans are to complete a gated community with a hotel, gym all that kind of stuff. To be honest I like the idea, better than demolishing or let it go to ruin like some of the buildings down the road at Sculthorpe
