Battersea Power Station

Some people may know the history about this place, but if not, let me put my 2 cents in, and why it is important to me.

Battersea Power Station was designed by my Great Grand Father, Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. The London landmark is one of England's most iconic buildings.

The conversion of the structure into shops, offices and apartments has been given full planning permission and the green light to start building, the only delay being to see if the owners will have the funds to back the massive project.

Personally I do not like the look of the new project, which will see apartments block all but the river view of the building.

So I needed to get in, Access was comical going solo, and I can't believe how I didn't break any bones with a monumental landing on the way!!

Although the entrance to the upper floors was locked, I tried to make the most of it.

When leaving, I very, very nearly ran (literally) into security! I don't think I have hid like a rock for half an hour with survival breathing for a very long time! They were within a couple of feet of me at one stage

i think they have concerts in there, to try and pump some money into the place.

yeah certainly don't slack on the patrols there. we had a couple of near misses with them, all part of the game though.

I've always wanted to go here, for the control room and show flat especially (if they're still there!)

How much they were charging for the Red Bull X fighters they shouldn't have much trouble getting the funds

And here was I, thinking the Govt had a bit of a cashflow problem... seems we are able to cough up billions for pet projects, oh...... and for ` friends in need`, of course!!!!
