UK asylum list

Simon Cornwell has compiled a list, complete with Google earth map, of UK asylums and their status (at the time)-

The Midlands ones are of particular interest, however there is a couple of ommissions-

Highcroft, Birmingham-

I did at first think the reason for them not being included was because they are to all intents and purposes gone, however St Matthews in Burntwood is and that went around '99 I think...

Nice info Paul... hats off to that Simon Cornwell.

I've got a full nuts, sortable database in excel. You can sort by any of the following... dates opened, dates closed, architect, original name, current name, county, current status, building type... |All 123 hospitals and asylums.

I don't know how to post it here, but can send it to anyone that wants it. PM pls!
