Wordsley Hospital, nr Stourbridge

Ridge Hills a strange mixture..... there's been some demolition so there's empty concrete pads, a live new building, some (and I'm guessing here) sheltered housing that is live and other boarded up buildings. They're all quite bland tho and I would guess originate from around the late '70s/ early '80s...

1- gone
2- new build
3- boarded up
4- old Wordsley hospital site
5- still in use

I will however have a nose when I'm that way next week

Hi,

Can anyone help, I came across this site/forum/post while searching on the internet. I have recently moved onto the new properties on the old wordsley hospital site and I am looking for information on what the buildings used to be, mainly mine. Ive moved into a refurbished old building so if anyone could shed any light on where I could find out what building where what in the old hospital form that would be most helpful

Ridge Hill site used to contain in area 1 of the picture above a unit called Holyrood (an older adult organic unit),which is now based within Bushey Fields Hospital site. Gorstyfields is still there and up and running as far as I know (I was last around there early 2011),its not in the picture posted by YamPaul though (Its at the bottom of the first left turn off the main road which runs from bottom right of picture).Think there is another building still down there too,both of which were old nurse accomadations(?)
