It's a very fine line. I'd love to bring all that stuff home with me, but if you get caught and searched, instant trouble. It turns from trespass to theft..........Totally criminal what happens to these records!!!

hi all i served my apprenticeship at the birmingham battery i was a electrician my foreman was called ernie hudson fantastic guy i started there in 1970 and stayed for 11 years 4 of them as a apprentice was nicknamed "the blood tub" i also believe the offices were haunted

Yeah I've heard bits and pieces about it being haunted. Would have loved to have visited this place but it was flattened way before I got into exploring

And the paperwork shots I've seen from here have looked almost drool-worthy, such a pity they were torn down with the rest!

Thanks to a contact on Birmingham History Forums for the following old shots of the Baterry. Looked like it was a hell of a site even after the first rounds of demolition........
