    Default Disused warehouse, Newcastle-under-Lyme

The first three photos were taken on December 29, 2007 and the fourth a couple of weeks ago. It was advertised for sale for a while until some time last year for possible conversion to a restaurant. Nothing seems to have happened to the building this year other than the growing shrubbery.
From the way the blue bricks have been incorporated into the design of the building I'd guess it dates from the late 19th century. I'll have a little explore on Sunday although I doubt there's any access at the ground level. It's on Market Lane in Newcastle town centre.

Excellent pictures! Although myself and one or two others on here get adventurous and errrr venture further, shall we say, I love outside pics just as much! Keep up the good work

    Question Re: Disused warehouse, Newcastle-under-Lyme

It almost looks as if it was originally built for another purpose to me?

Quite possibly. I had a little nose round this morning - the rear half is just an open space, looks like it was last used as storage space. There's a locked door from there into the front half.

By the way, I'd never noticed this before but on the top left hand window there's the image of a fish - white body, black outline. Anyone know what it signifies? Too high up to be graffiti.

I've been told that this used to be part of a hardware store.

Latest photo taken on September 4th.
