    Default G'day from Australia

Well its really good afternoon here, no doubt most of you will still be tucked up in bed as I'm writing this, except I suppose for the insomniacs - we all say G'day here, no matter what time it is.
I'm originally from Wolverhampton, my five siblings and I got dragged away by our parents for a new life in Australia 44 years ago, I was 14 at the time so you can do the math as to my age.
Seems I have an old mate here too, G'day George, happy to find you here.

I have a love for Wolverhampton, I know a lot of people would probably ask "why" but you know, I was born there, spent my youth there and quite honestly didn't want to leave - mind you I wouldn't leave Oz now to move anywhere else on a permanent basis now, too old and I have two young kids to consider, but I'll be back there in the not too distant future.

So, if anyone had any information on Wolverhampton I'd be more than happy for your contribution.

    Kindest regards
    David

    G'day mate!

One thing that has always interested me - how long did it take you to get used to the blood rushing to your head when you moved down under?

    Hi Richard,

It's the added blood flow to the upper body parts (especially the head area) that enabled the Aussie cricket team to demolish England for years - we let you win last time just so that when we win the ashes back AS WE WILL, the Brits will know once and for all who the best cricket team really is. I so wish we had a "Barmy Army" like you guys have, they where just fantastic last year.

The only problems I had when we first arrived here was the heat and those bloody flies.

    Thanks for your reply
    Kindest regards
    David

    Hallo David,
You've found another good site then. Forty four years, Eh, and all for a loaf of bread. Nice to know I'm twice as likely to trip over you now.

    Big regards,

    George

Thank you to all - George, you can't hide from me and by the way, it was a very nice loaf of bread, better living here than having your hand chopped off.

    Hello Fisha,

Mmmmmm, you may want to check your history books however, to save you the trouble, Australia has won 126 Ashes series to England's 97 - the next series is in the bag, no more Mr Nice Guys, no more letting you win every now and then.....it's bye, bye Brits. Oh and by the way, can we borrow your Barmy Army to teach them some new Aussie songs, I'm sure they will want to sing for the winning team.

    Cheers
    David
PS dont take this too seriously, its only a game.......that we are better at.
