    Spoke to a builder this morning who informed me the building is now in the process of being renovated and made into three or four seperate living units. They are at the moment stripping the inside and removing the roof tiles.
    The first thing to be done is to put on a new roof, then the external walls will be sandblasted to the natural stone. The only thing that can be demolished is the breeze block extension, the remainder can not be removed as it is classed as a listed building.
    As time goes on it will become more clear as to what is being done

    The units are called Cuthbert Cottages


    The Highwayman was named The Green Man and was part of the Earl of Macclesfield's Estate
