Thread: Midlands weather

Yesterday saw freezing, low cloud over much of North Staffordshire and Cheshire but not up at Mow Cop - it was beautiful there, sunny and cold.

North west from Mow Cop Castle you can usually see for miles over the Cheshire Plain; here it's completely covered

Nice pics! I love driving over Axe Edge to work when the valleys are full of fog/mist. I makes me imagin what the area was like back in the Carboniferous period when the limestone hills were coral mounds/atolls sticking out above the seas!!

I love to go walking around the area where Staffs./Derbys. and Cheshire meet. Very bleak but can be beautiful at times
