    Default ROC Beddgelert

    Found this one after having a mooch in the land of many sheep, open and in quite good condition apart from 18" of water in it, still , managed to get a couple of shots of the inside, from the ladder.

    Talking Re: ROC Beddgelert

    Nice one! I am going to have to break my ROC duck and find one I can get into. I've seen a ROC post list somewhere...

    (Hey...been listening to the disc you gave me...its Wembley tomorrow - I'll be the one with the MASSIVE red and black silk flag!)

    it explains how you can post individual pics from your photobucket instead of the whole album everytime....

    Ha,

    I have been on duty inside this one!

    (although I was an NCO in a Group Control crew from a non-adjacent Group!)

    Hi, To answer your questions:
    @Yamahapaul
    As to how I got to be based at a post, instead of my usual Group Control - I asked for a temporary transfer to a post (not Beddgelert!) near to the area in which I had a summer season job! I got it, and kept my rank etc, it worked both ways. I learnt what the post personnel did, and they found out a bit about what happened to the data they sent to the group operations room.
    My visit to Beddgelert was during a training exercise, to cover an unexpected illness.
    @Gingie
    Beddgelert post was dry (and warm) when I was in it. Most sump pumps were used (or rather tested) on an irregular basis.
    @Indy500
    There are several ROC posts run as museums (and a mock up at a couple of the bunker based places - I have some details in the filing cabinet that pretends to be my brain, If I can recall the details I'll PM you, if you want)
    Stoneroad (if you need more info, either email or PM me)
