Would you like me to get a contact number for someone at the church? I wouldn't be surprised if you could get that one for nothing.

Alton, Staffordshire. Despite being parked outside a cottage it definitely is a coffin cart, maybe originally from Alton Church

Not been back on MHF for a while so I missed this offer! But yes, please, If you can and then PM me the details. I should get one of those OK.

The cover is likely to have been oiled canvas or sailcloth, or even leather. It might also have been a flag!

This one's not in the Midlands but has to be included here as it's so different to all the others so far featured. Of more recent construction, maybe 1950s? Any guesses?

It's at St Mawgan Church in St Mawgan, Cornwall

I wasn't sure if these were part of the original bier design but someone at the church pointed out that they might have originally been church window covers (to minimise damage to the windows)
