Hello..
I think this place is a old hunting lodge of King Henry 8th unless theres somewhere else in the woods?
The house was ,poss still is owned by Tarmac, who own a quarry round here. The place used to be a bakery years ago and a private house.. empty for a few yrs then rented to a company that sold shoes ( if you walk round one of the outbuildings you will still see dozens of pairs ) ,bought by Tarmac, but let out, probs with tennants and finally boarded up. was abt 2 yrs ago when i went last.
if anyone has anymore info it would be nice to hear.

I went into that house about 4 years ago. There was a window at the back of the house that had been boarded up but the whole window frame had been pulled out, so we went in.
Curiosity got the best of us, as we stumbled upon it and a woman with two German Shephers seemed to patrolling around the house during the day witha badge on, saying that we shouldn't be there as it's private property.
It was pretty much furnished inside from what I remember, tables, chairs, carpet and that, and the cellar was just too dark to make much out, but there were tools and what not.
I'd love to know more about it.
