    Cool "Dream" of "Another Place"

    Bit further afield in Mersyside.

    Dream
Situated on the site of the former Sutton Manor colliery near St. Helens, Dream was part of The Big Art Project.
Photos don't really do it justice specially as sky was very grey.
Must have return visit this summer.

Yes, been over there a couple of times & always a fasinating place to be.
Its interesting how people interact with the sculptures, often you find bits of clothing on them, one in the pic has a bobble hat on

First saw them from the Isle of Man ferry couple of years ago & its sureal to see these "figures" appearing out of the waves

Love the one with the bobble hat on. This kind of art appeals to me. In Birmingham there's a metal sculpture of a figure sticking out of the pavement in one of the main shopping areas.

    Definitely worth a visit Mayko.
Basically they are on the beach at Crosby, north of Liverpool.
I find it easier to do M62 to junction 6, then M57 to end & follow signs to the Docks & Crosby. There are brown tourist signs for "Another Place", but I prefer to continue thru Crosby to next signs which lead to car park by the Coastguard station. Either way the sculptures are spread out along the beach. Hope this helps and have a good time if you go

Also the link on my original posting gives directions too.

Look forward to pics of Brummy public art
