    Default Art Deco, Burtons Store, Aberystwyth

    Grade II listed former Burtons store, complete with 4 foundation stones and some great ornamental air vent covers.

    Those air vents are in better condition than the one at Long eaton. A very impressive Burton's store, thanks, oildrum.

    There are 2 of the larger ones at the main entrance, with lots of the others (all intact) along the other side

    Looks as if there would have been some good tiles in the entrances too, but new names have been added

    By referring to the magnificent Charles Cushman collection (thereby enabling an acknowledgement) one can see from a close-up of Burtons' Aberystwyth frontage during its post-War heyday (1961) how timeless yet decade-specific the Burton's house-style became, accompanying any surrounding architecture
