Thread: Sports hall in Medvode, Slovenia

Medvode is a small town with some light industry and when I saw this I couldn't work out what it had been. There's some water damnage and it looks as though it's been totally gutted; there don't seem to be any internal fittings and little plaster on the internal walls.

When I got back to my B&B I asked the owner about this place. He told me that it's a sports hall that was built almost 15 years ago but never got completed, in part because of difficulties with government subsidies and also because the local people couldn't agree about having it in the first place. Oddly, all the Tourist Information maps in the area show the sports hall.
