My first was a Box Brownie ( owned by my parents) followed by a Kodak Brownie 127 - methinks I am dating myself!!

Default Unknown Quarter plate no Camera brand

I've almost completely restored this camera, I started about 3 weeks ago:

The front standard was missing, bellows shot to pieces, no focus screen, brass parts missing.

I totally stripped the camera down, had the missing wooden part to hold the lens board made, stained the new wood, french polished everything, cleaned brass work, re-assembled, ground a new focus screen, made a pattern & then a new set of bellows.

It functions now but there's still minor brass work missing which has very kindly been made for me, one bit to go and then it'll be a 100% restoration with an adaptor to take a modern roll film back. I still need to make a new strap. It dates from the 1880's or 90's and I will use it.

That's a lovely piece of kit. Any thoughts of adapting a digital back to it?

    No chance

However I have just made an adapter (yesterday) so I can use a roll film back with the camera, and I'm off out to shoot some Pan F on the sea shore as it's such a nice sunny day

I also shoot digital for commercial work & snapshots but only film for personal work.
