    Default Buxton Climatological Station

Are there many of these around the Midlands? First one that I've come across.

If I remember rightly it was just a box. Can't think why I didn't take a photo.

Perhaps one of our Buxton posters could help out....

It's the usual white box with louvred sides.

I'll nip down and take a pic with my NEW Canon 5D Mkll camera and 24-105 L IS USB lens.

A new camera Cellarman - does SWMBO know?

There is one at Thorncliffe - Leek Thorncliffe latest wind - Met Office

Also at Pershore, Coleshill, Shawbury, Church Lawford, Shobdon and Hereford Credenhill! Check out West Midlands weather forecast - Met Office for their location!

I've got my own realtime weather station based 500 yards away at the local high school. Gives me temperature readings, wind speeds and direction, rainfall etc, not only current but past weekly, monthly and annual records. Very handy for settling arguments down the Pub.
