Default Digbeth - regeneration or demolition?

    Oxford Street, off Digbeth, Birmingham

The first photo was taken in 2007

    and now...

The Old Wharf seems to still be in use as a club of some sort as there were a lot of empty beer barrels stacked outside but its days as a public house are probably over unless area regeneration happens in the next few years

    Well spotted!

I don't know enough about Birmingham's railway lines; has the line re-opened? About fifty yards to the left, in the direction of Moor Street station, is this.....

No vegetation up on top there either. Maybe there's a junction between where the two photos were taken?

Anybody know what's happening with the viaduct?

I'm buggered if I can find it, but I'm sure that there is a link on here somewhere to a lost/ disused railway site or something like that

The newer platforms of Moor St station have been used since the snow hill-moor st tunnel has been reopened. The older part of the station was renovated, but the rail link to the older platforms was broken. Apparently Chilton Railways intend to reopen the link to the old platforms (which are much more attractive) as a base for their new service to Marylebone (I presume by new they mean revamped), so I assume that the changes you observed are part of preparations for this
