St Andrews Infant School in Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton opened it's doors to pupils in 1899 and closed them in 1976. The building has been empty to the best of my knowledge for the next 35 years. I attended as a pupil from 1947 until 1950.
The mystery is, although the area around the school has been extensively developed for new housing, the school was adjacent to Courtalds huge factory, who made the 'New' cloth Rayon, and the terraced housing from where most of the pupils came, has been demolished and rebuilt, the school and extensive grounds remain as they were, apart from a concrete temporary building, in 1899.
