    Default Leicester

This arch, in Victoria Park, dates from 1923 and was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

There's a walkway, the Peace Walk, which leads to the north side of the arch

    The west side

    The south side

    The east side

Along the Peace Walk are the following memorials

    Also in Victoria Park

A nearby church on London Road was, as far as I've been able to find out, Baptist at the time its war memorial was dedicated. It's now Seventh Day Adventist so are the names of the Fallen still inside that particular church or were they moved to another Baptist church?

and two memorials from now-closed mission churches

The Leicestershire Regiment Memorial Chapel in Leicester Cathedral. Not too easy to photograph at times - some of the brass plaques are so highly polished they're mirrorlike while others above head height are so black as to make reading them very difficult
